Horizons Holiday Apartments is conveniently located approximately 600 metres north of the centre of Burleigh Heads. Just a short and pleasant stroll away you will find most things that you need for your stay including numerous cafes, restaurants, clubs and supermarkets. Not to mention that you are at the doorstep to some of the jewels of the Gold Coast: Burleigh Beach, the Oceanview Walk and the Rainforest Walk.  

Burleigh Beach
Famous Burleigh Beach is the best on the Gold Coast and there is a patrolled swimming area directly in front of Horizons that can be quickly and easily accessed via our private beach walk. For surfers, the point at Burleigh Beach produces world-class surfing and for the smaller ones, there are plenty of swimming spots with calm suitable conditions.

The Oceanview Walk 
The Oceanview Walk on the Esplanade connects Horizons with Burleigh Heads Shopping Centre. This pathway (four kilometres in total) shadows the beach and is popular with walkers, runners and cyclists alike. For energetic adults, there is outdoor exercise equipment dotted along the paths and for the always-energetic kids, there are numerous playgrounds each with different activities. And on the last Sunday of every month, The Esplanade is home to the Beachfront Markets, a haven for the collector of arts and crafts and the weird and the wonderful.

The Rainforest Walk
Only ten minutes walk from Horizons, the Rainforest Walk in Burleigh Heads National Park is a sanctuary for local wildlife and one of the Gold Coast's best-kept secrets. Brush turkeys can often be seen wandering the paths or you may view sea eagles, kites and ospreys hunt fish along the Tallebudgera Creek. Lorikeets love to play in amongst the trees of the park and the waters are home to dolphins, wobbegongs and in Spring, passing humpback and minke whales.
